Wale Fires Shots At J. Cole On 'Groundhog Day'

The D.C. rapper responds to Cole's diss of him on "False Prophets."

J. Cole's new album dropped just 48 hours ago, and already folks are mad. Wale began trending almost immediately after the release of 4 Your Eyez Only, thanks to an unflattering shoutout he, as well as Kanye West, got on the track "False Prophets."

Wale wasted no time responding to the Dreamville rapper with his own track called “Groundhog Day.”

“I’m heavily flawed, but far from a false prophet Ima honorable Folarin, Cassius, Muhammad…why you talking?" he begins, before going on to address Cole directly.

He continues, “I just heard a song about me in the hip-hop blogs/From a kid I know, some people say he hip-hop God/It hit home cause it’s some truth/This I know it’s a cycle/Like it’s psycho when shit get dark.”

Interestingly, many are calling this some of Wale's best work in a while:

Guess Jermaine lit that fire under him.
