#BlackGirlMagic: Rapsody Signs With Jay Z’s Roc Nation
Hip-hop is celebrating some incredible news today, with Rapsody announcing she is the latest signee to Jay Z’s Roc Nation imprint.
The North Carolina rapper shared her exciting news during her set at the 2016 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, which also was live-streamed by Hov’s streaming service, Tidal.
While the exact details of her recent record deal have yet to surface, the rapper is ecstatic at the new partnership, joining the likes of J. Cole, Jay Electronica and Rihanna, to name a few.
Rapsody has been in the rap game for over a decade, so it’s really amazing to finally see some of her hard work paying off.
Her debut full length album, The Idea of Beautiful, dropped in 2012, and in the years following, the rapper has continued to expand her fanbase and release quality music.
Major congrats out to Rapsody!
