Rihanna Gave Rave Reviews of 'Emancipation,' According To Will Smith
Rihanna gave Will Smith’s latest project, Emancipation, rave reviews.
According to an E! News exclusive, the “Umbrella” singer and her bae A$AP Rocky along with Tyler Perry and Dave Chappelle, went to the premiere. On December 1, Smith told the publication that the new mom “loved” the film.
"Rihanna loved the cinematography. She could not get over the look of the film and how it felt,” he said. He also said that he was privy to other celebrities’ thoughts at the premiere on November 30.
"The thing that's great with Black people is they talk to the screen the whole time, so you don't have to ask people's opinion," he joked. "So, I didn't have to ask anybody's opinion from the room."
BET.com reported that the Independence Day actor missed his European premiere after finding out he contracted COVID. Smith did, however, greet the audience via Zoom.
“Throwback to when I went viral,” he captioned the post on Instagram. “I was getting ready to surprise an audience who had just seen Emancipation. I tested positive. I made them do it again and again, so I'm definitely positive.”
Emancipation premiered in select theaters on December. 2 and on Apple TV+ on December 9.
