LL Cool J revealed who he wants to play him in a biopic, and surprisingly, it’s Snoop Dogg. 

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the “Saturday Night Special” rapper was asked about Snoop Dogg’s recent announcement that he’d like to produce a biopic on LL Cool J. “We’ve talked about it briefly but only under the condition that he actually plays me,” he told the reporter. “I need Snoop Dogg to be LL Cool J in my biopic. I need that! Snoop, would you play me in the biopic? You can produce it if you do that.”

Elsewhere during the conversation, the New York native admitted that he’s conflicted about turning his life story into a film. “I’m open to it, but I’m not gonna lie to you, it bores me a little bit,” he said. “I don’t know. I have mixed emotions about it. I just have a lot to do creatively and I feel like I can do a lot. It’s not that I’m against it. I’m open to doing a documentary, I’m open to the idea of doing a biopic. But it just doesn’t excite me. It’s kinda like me turning around in the mirror with my jeans on and looking at myself… I don’t know what that means. I don’t do that a lot.”

Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg revealed he wanted to bring LL Cool J’s story to the masses. “What’s up, Unc? I done already got at you about it already, Unc, you know what I’m saying. What we talking about? What we doing? I can’t tell mine without telling yours first ‘cause it would be no me without you,” he told Rock The Bells in an interview published in February.

When asked who would portray the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Snoop Dogg said, “Some actor from London.” In a British accent, he added, “He’s going to come over here and play LL Cool J. When you say action, that n**ga gon’ sound like he from Queens. When you say cut, ‘Okay, get me some tea.’”
