Ghostface Killah Inspires Name of New Beer

The Wu-Tang MC is the motivation for the latest beverage on the market.

For beer companies looking to launch a new beverage, getting a high-profile hip hop spokesman seems to be all the rage.
Just as Pabst Brewing Company pegged its controversial fruit-flavored alcoholic drink to the image of Snoop Dogg, Boulder, Colorado, beer maker Twin Pines sought to give its new drink a boost by drawing inspiration from Wu-Tang Clan rhyme slinger Ghostface Killah.
In this case, however, Ghost declined the offer to endorse the product, which must have been doubly bruising to Twin Pines, who named their new brew "Ghost Face Killah."
"We tried to get in touch with him, but we didn't receive a call back," Twin Pines GM Jody Valenta told the Los Angeles Times.
The Killah beer, which features a flaming skull on the bottle, is marketed by the company as "the hottest beer this side of hell" and is made with five different types of peppers.
