Bieber's New 'Do Costs Toymaker $100,000
Apparently, Justin Bieber should consult with the world before gelling, cutting or hair-spraying his ‘do. Not only was the entire world rocked by the pop sensation’s switch from his signature shag to a spiky cut, a toy maker had to spend $100,000 to fix their precious Bieber dolls.
Employees of toy manufacturer The Bridge Direct completely freaked out when the photo of Bieber’s new cut hit the net. “First off, I had no idea what he did,” Jay Foreman, founder and CEO of the Florida-based firm tells CNN Money. “I heard a lot of shrieks around me, and people running in and out of their offices,” he added.
The $100,000 loss is due to the fact that the company had to quickly alter its current collection to reflect the new and improved Biebs. “We didn’t want to disappoint fans with a Justin Bieber doll that doesn’t look exactly like him anymore,” says Foreman. “But there wasn’t much we could do about it.” The first batch of new dolls will feature the Biebs with his former cut and the second batch will don his new pixie cut.
