Cali Swag District Concert Ends in Gunfire
A 25-year-old man was shot in Hollywood after leaving a concert headlined by Compton rapper Problem and Inglewood rap group Cali Swag District around 1 a.m. this morning [September 26].
Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department reports that the victim had previously gotten into an altercation inside Wonderland, the club where the concert was being held, reports the LA Times. The young man was approached on a side street near the club and shot in the back after the dispute spilled over into the streets. Reports also claim the victim was an affiliate of the group Cali Swag District, although details of his relation to the group is still unclear.
The shooter fled in a Ford Mustang witnesses told Fox 11 News reporters.
Earlier this year Montae "M-Bone" Talbert," resident dancer of West Coast rap group Cali Swag District, was shot and killed in the group's hometown of Inglewood, California, on May 15. The 22-year-old was gunned down outside of a liquor store by a shooter who similarly fled in a car and was never apprehended.
