Justin Bieber And Quavo Deliver Inspirational Visual For 'Intentions'
Last Friday (Feb. 7), Justin Bieber dropped his latest single, “Intentions,” which also came accompanied by an inspirational music video that left viewers in tears.
The song, featuring Migos’ Quavo, comes ahead of Justin’s forthcoming album, Changes, which is slated to drop on Friday (Feb. 14). The visual begins with a brief montage that introduces the stories of three women living in Los Angeles at a non-profit transitional women's shelter, Alexandria House, who have overcome hardship to chase after their dreams.
The video opens with Bahri, a first-generation college student from L.A.’s Koreatown in pursuit of the education her mother was denied; Marcy, who was raised in the foster system and left an abusive relationship at the age of 19 to make a better life for herself and her children; and Angela, an artist whose artwork is inspired by L.A.’s homeless outpost, Skid Row, “to spread awareness and tell the stories of homeless women and children through her art.”
Set to a catchy, upbeat instrumental, the 6-minute video takes viewers into the everyday lives of each of these women and their communities. There are many moments that pull on viewers heartstrings throughout the Michael D. Ratner-directed video. At the four-minute mark, Justin gifts Bahria a car so that she no longer has to travel two to three hours a day by bus to class.
In one of the video’s more moving moments, Quavo and Justin reveal that they booked Angela studio time so she can share her art with the world. She delivers a piercing spoken word, which moves everyone to tears and prompts Quavo to embrace her with a hug.

The video concluded with a note from Justin and Quavo. The two thanked Alexandria House for its philanthropic efforts and disclosed that they donated $200,000 to the non-profit in honor of “the women and the dreams of the families” it supports. Since the video’s release, more than $10,000 in donations has poured in from across the globe, according to TMZ. The funds raised will reportedly go towards aid for current and former residents.
It’s definitely a touching nod from Justin, who has opened up in the past about the struggles he saw his mother face as a young single mother.
