In an interview with blogger Necole Bitchie’s e-zine, Bitchie Life, the breakout personality of Braxton Family Values Tamar Braxton discussed the drawbacks of her newfound fame.

The youngest Braxton sister pointed to the blogosphere as the biggest burden thus far. She explained that her husband, Vince, “keeps telling me not to read the blogs and the comments but it’s hard.” Tamar says rumors – like whether or not she bleaches her skin and if she had plastic surgery – upset her the most. Tamar, in fact, has had plastic surgery, though she asserts that it wasn’t for vanity as reported. Tamar said, “I was born with no cartilage in my nose, and it made breathing very difficult.”

Tamar noted that both her father and her sister Toni Braxton have had the same operation. When It comes to Toni and her illnesses, she expressed guilt over assuming Toni was just being “lazy.” Tamar said, “And I think I’ve had the most guilt about this so I probably go a little above and beyond to try to help her out. But it’s tough. Some days you know she’s not feeling well. It hurts to talk about this.”

As for her music career, which she’s talked about throughout the season of the reality show, she wouldn’t confirm if she’s in fact signed a record deal, but she did hint that audiences can expect new music from her soon. She described her sound as, “I’m like Adele meets Lauryn Hill…in a pants suit.”
