A$AP Ferg Gets a Grammar Lesson on Twitter

The emcee hilariously misreads a tweet about his upcoming album.

A$AP Ferg's mentions were flooded today not because of hype around his upcoming album, but over a tweet he hilariously misread about it. The Harlem rapper was clowned by social media after Artistic Manifesto founder Michell C. Clark tweeted a story about Ferg announcing the title of his forthcoming album. The Harlem MC mistook the word “forthcoming” as “fourth coming,” and went ahead and corrected Clark accordingly.

The "Shabba" rapper responded to Clark's tweet by tweeting “second,” referring to the fact that his second album would be arriving, not his fourth. Clark then expressed his confusion. “Sorry if there is an inaccuracy somewhere, something we need to fix?” he wrote.
“You said fourth coming album it’s only my second,” Ferg responded, to which Clark clarified, “ohhhhh, lol nah ‘forthcoming’ means it’s on the way. Nothing to do with the number 4. But thanks for checking us.”
Ferg then attempted to turn his trip-up into a pimp walk by saying, “hahhh that’s what I get for speed reading . You was right bro thanks for the shout.”
Unfortunately for Ferg, the Twitterverse isn't so easily fooled. The rapper quickly became a trending topic thanks to all the folks relentlessly clowning him for the gaffe. Read some of the best reactions below — and in case you're interested, A$AP Ferg’s second album is titled Always Strive and Prosper and it’s due to drop in January.
