Halle Berry Ordered to Pay Child Support to Gabriel Aubry
Talk about rubbing salt in the wound. Halle Berry's contentious split from ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry has also gotten very expensive for the actress. Berry has been ordered by a judge to pay Aubry, with whom she shares a daughter, Nahla, $16,000 a month in child support, the Associated Press reports.
The ruling requires the Oscar-winning actress to pay nearly $200,000 a year, plus tuition money, to support Nahla, 6. It also calls for her to pay a retroactive payment of $115,000 and $300,000 to Aubry's attorneys to "cover the costs of their custody dispute." The exes will split Nahla's health care expenses.
After their breakup in 2010, the former couple waged a very public custody battle over Nahla, with Berry fighting to move her little girl to France against Aubry's wishes. The battle came to a head on Thanksgiving Day in 2012, when Aubry got into a physical fight with Berry's then-boyfriend Olivier Martinez. Berry and Martinez married in July 2013 and welcomed their son, Maceo, later that year.
