Could There Be a Third Amy Winehouse Album? \r \r
Life after death for Amy Winehouse is proving to be a lot more kind. While family, friends and fans continue to mourn the early passing of the 27-year-old British soul singer, music lovers are wondering what she could have produced had she turned her life around.
It seems they may actually get to find out. According to the Huffington Post, a spokesman said the singer left "plenty" of music material behind. Salaam Remi, the producer who worked on both Frank and Back to Black, confirms the statement, saying, "We had a lot of things going, there are recordings.”
Even though she was battling a drug addiction, Winehouse is said to have occasionally recorded and left behind what one Universal source is calling a “framework” of 12 songs for an album. While this may be the case, it’s essentially up to her family to decide if they want to release these unfinished recordings, a la Michael Jackson style.
Clearly the audience is there, if not bigger, as mourners can still be seen holding a vigil outside of her London home, even after her funeral on Tuesday. The songbird is also back on the charts, selling records like they were just released.
