Beanie Sigel Says a Roc-A-Fella Reunion Has to Happen
It was a great feeling to watch (or see, if you were there live) Roc-A-Fella back as a whole again last weekend.
During back-to-back shows as part of Jay Z’s “B-Sides” concert in NYC, he brought out a plethora of special guests like Jay Electronica and Jeezy. However, fans went ballistic when Hov brought out his former running mates State Property to perform cuts “You, Me, Him and Her” and “1-900 Hustler.” To see Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Freeway and Young Gunz sharing a stage with Hov again was a major hip hop moment. Now, the question is will they do it again?
“I don’t wanna spoil it…but the reaction from the public, whether we’re on the same page or not, the public want that,” Sigel said to Boom 107.9 recently. “And I think the two days and the reaction from it? It’s undeniable, it’s gotta happen.” He later added: “The other day, it was like nothing ever changed. Everybody was laughing, happy, smiling, joking. Seemingly at a loss for words.”
Freeway spoke to BET.com about the Roc reuniting, saying he hopes they will do more soon. “I mean, just stay tuned. Hopefully we get some more in, and hopefully this is the relaunch of a dynasty. Hopefully. [laughs] I’m pushin’ for it!”
