Report: Jaden Smith to Play Superhero Static Shock
Jaden Smith will play superhero Static Shock in a forthcoming live-action series, actor Tyler James Williams inadvertently confirmed during a Comic-Con interview with Flicks and the City.
The former Everybody Loves Chris-turned-Walking Dead actor mentioned Smith while discussing diversity in superhero characters. Williams noted that there are a lack of “young Black superheroes” just as two people in the background can be heard yelling out “Static Shock” and “Spider-Man.”
He grins and replies, “It’s great to see Static Shock as Jaden. We’ll see which way Marvel decides to go with Spider-Man.”
