Rick Ross Delays Mastermind
Rick Ross won't be gifting fans with a new album in time for the Christmas holiday, after all.
Rozay has pushed back the Dec. 17 release date of Mastermind to continue putting the "final touches" on the collection, he announced in an interview with DJ Scream of Hood Rich Radio.
The MMG leader recently signed Fat Trel (who was also on hand for the radio interview), just wrapped up his Mastermind tour, and is gearing up for releases from other artists on his imprint. Needless to say, the Bawse has a lot on his plate and needs a little more time for solo work.
"I'm still putting final touches on the album," he said. "To me, making that classic is more important than anything. Making sure the streets [are] overwhelmed by what I'm doing is what's most important."
Ross didn't lock in a drop date, but plans to push it out as soon as he can. "I'm tryna get it to you, and if I don't [by Dec. 17], I'ma get it to you ASAP."
Thus far Mastermind has only produced one official single, "No Games." Ross announced the release — his sixth studio album — earlier in the year. He said it will have a more "soulful vibe," than his previous projects.
