Hip Hop star Nicki Minaj took to Twitter yesterday [July 4] to express sorrow over the death of her cousin, Nicholas Telemaque.

“My cousin Nicholas, [who] also goes by Juse or @brolicalcoholic, [was] murdered last night near his home [in] Brooklyn,NY. [He] lived in Brooklyn his whole life. My precious cousin. My baby. Killed last night,” she wrote.

According to the New York DailyNews, Telemaque, 27, was shot several times in the torso while leaving club C-PAC in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York. 

Upon reading the news on Twitter, hundreds of fans immediately tweeted their condolences. Celebs like Jordin Sparks extended their support as well.

“Sending love & prayers to you and your family," Sparks tweeted to Minaj.

The Queens, New York–bred talent went on to post pics of her beloved cousin on Twitter.

Authorities have yet to apprehend any suspects, but are encouraging anyone with information to step forward.
