Former Destiny’s Child Member Arrested

Farrah Franklin was detained by Los Angeles police.

Former Destiny's Child singer Farrah Franklin was arrested for disorderly conduct this past weekend.

According to TMZ, Franklin, who had a brief role in the group along with Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams in 2000, was taken into custody in Culver City, California early Saturday morning. Details on precisely what prompted Franklin's arrest are still emerging, and the 29-year-old singer is said to be out on bail. A source did tell the celebrity gossip site that alcohol may have been involved.
Before she was dismissed from Destiny's Child, Franklin appeared in the videos for "Say My Name" and "Jumpin, Jumpin." She also sang background vocals on "Independent Women." Franklin originally joined the group with Williams as replacements for jilted former members LaTavia Roberson and LaToya Luckett.

Franklin has struggled to release her much-delayed debut album since her departure from DC.
