ICYMI: ShoeDazzle Cut Ties With Hazel-E After Her Racial And Homophobic Remarks Scandal
Hazel-E is under serious fire after the fallen Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood star made racial and homophobic remarks towards her cast members. Suggesting that her co-stars bully her and are jealous because of her “light-skinned” complexion and that “all gays die and burn in hell,” the reality star is losing endorsements left and right. And rightfully so.
ShoeDazzle, an online shoe and accessory subscription service that has partnered with some of our favorite celebrities, including La La Anthony, Keke Palmer, Kim K and more, announced their disassociation with Hazel-E after recent comments. All imagery and any “Hazel-E” mentions have been removed and ultimately redirect the consumer to the brand’s main page.
The company posted on their Instagram:
“We are aware of the recent social media posts and thank our fans for bringing it to our attention. At ShoeDazzle, we believe in love and equality for all and have removed all content associated #loveislove”
Can you blame them? Behavior like this is so unacceptable and definitely should not be rewarded. We fight so hard for equality across the board (racially, sexually, religiously, etc.) every day and for comments like these to not be acknowledged is a major setback to the small dent we’ve made in our country.
Do better, Hazel-E, because this is NOT the way to use your platform. No #blackgirlmagic here.
