Yesterday (May 31), new details were publicized from an incident that shook New York City last week where gunfire broke out at a concert venue leaving one person dead.

Rapper Troy Ave was arrested and later pleaded guilty to the attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges currently held against him, but investigators are starting to build an even stronger case as even more incriminating evidence has surfaced.

As reported, investigators found a gun recovered from a hidden compartment of the van that brought the rapper to the hospital after he was shot. The gun also matches the bullet that shot and killed Ronald “Banga” McPhatter.

Troy Ave’s legal team is claiming that the surveillance video showing the shooting taking place, where the rapper was identified as the shooter, only tells half the story and that the rapper was acting in self defense.

Investigators are currently searching for a second gunman as well, with Ave’s legal team saying that another individual was the one who shot their client in the leg and Banga in the chest.
