Halle Bailey Shines In New ‘The Little Mermaid’ Trailer
Disney’s The Little Mermaid remake is providing the best look yet at the highly-anticipated upcoming film.
As part of the 95th Academy Awards telecast, Halle Bailey, along with fellow actor Melissa McCarthy, came on stage prior to the trailer being aired for viewers at home.
In the first full look of the Disney movie, Ariel (played by Bailey) is swimming in her underwater world with the object of her affection, Prince Eric (played by Jonah Hauer-King).

Ariel is also seen showing off her amazing singing chops as brief snippets from some of the film’s highly anticipated musical numbers “Part of Your World” and “Kiss the Girl” play.
The Little Mermaid is a live-action version of the 1989 animated classic of the same name, which won two Academy Awards for best original song for “Under the Sea” and best original score.
The Little Mermaid is slated to hit theaters on May 26. Watch the trailer below.
