Twitter Is at War Over 'F*ckboy' Lawrence on 'Insecure'

What's your take on his behavior?

The most recently aired episode of Insecure seemed to have some members of #TeamLawrence questioning their loyalty as their fave was caught in a lie — literally — that forced many to see him in a different light.

* Spoiler Alert! *

During the episode, Lawrence's new flame/rebound, Tasha, invited him to her family cookout where he was set to bring some chairs and hang out with the fam. Upon his arrival, he noticed that Tasha's folks were a bit more urban than he had expected, causing him to make an excuse to leave, telling his new lady he would "be right back."

The leader of the #LawrenceHive left the park to go throw a few back with a few of his co-workers and flaked on Tasha for the entire night, while giving her the impression that he was "wrapped up at work."

Once the night had concluded, Tasha called him up and gave him a read many felt like he needed to hear, telling him he was a "f**k n***a" who "thinks he's a good guy."

These powerful words had Twitter in a bind as many were torn on their feelings for Lawrence from this point on.

Some felt like his actions were justified, and he hasn't done anything worthy of the "f**k boy" title juet yet:

What's your take on this divide?

  • Others felt, however, that "good Lawrence" is dead, and he's out for blood and hearts since he's now a scorned man.
