'Fake Homeless' Woman Captured in Viral Video Arrested for Disorderly Behavior
The woman captured in the viral video of a "fake homeless" woman was recently arrested by police in Henrico, Virginia, reported WTVR.
Micha Leigh Dominguez, 40, was arrested and charged with three counts of throwing a missile at a moving vehicle — she reportedly threw Gatorade bottles at a woman's car. Dominguez's arrest came just days after she was featured in a viral video where a man confronted her for pretending to be homeless.
In the video, a man followed Dominguez after seeing her panhandling on the side of the road. When he spotted her getting into a car, he confronts her for pretending to be homeless. Eventually, Dominguez tried to get help from employees at a nearby McDonald's, yet they did not intervene.
The video was posted to YouTube on May 21 and on May 22, Dominguez was placed under arrest. Police found Dominguez at an intersection after they responded to a call for a "disorderly situation."
"Upon arrival the officers located the female complainant in the parking lot near the IHOP restaurant. The complainant advised officers that while standing in the median, several people began harassing her and videotaping her," Henrico Police Lt. Richard Cosby told WTVR. "While speaking with the complainant, the officers were approached by another woman who told officers that the subject they were talking with had thrown items at their cars while in the parking lot, and that the incident had been videotaped, which was subsequently shared with the officers."
