Yelawolf Posts Photos Wearing Confederate Flag

Alabama rapper deletes controversial flicks after backlash.

Kanye West and Yelawolf have more in common than rapping. They both have love for the Confederate flag, and aren't shy about showing it off.

Yela recently posted and deleted a series of photos of the flag, one of which shows him wearing a jacket printed in the flag's design.

A second image shows a pair of cowboy boots with the flag draped in the middle, captioned, "Whats in my airport security tray has changed a bit I'd say … Look Mamma No Hands !!@slumerican .SLUMERICAN.MADE. Me do it … Lets hope Canada is as friendly to the Dixie flag as Kanye West is,” he wrote adding the hashtag, #crackersintoronto" and "see ya soon baby,” to fiancée FeFe Dobson.

The "Slumerican" shout out is a reference to the Alabama native's record label. Unfortunately, the images of the flag given that it's seen as a reminder of racism and slavery in America has muddled his promotional attempts.

For now, Yela hasn't commented on the controversy, but a fan offered a rebuttal to those calling him racist, pointing out that the 34-year-old, born Michael Wayne Atha, is "half White and Cherokee [Indian]" and in a relationship with Dobson, who is of English and Jamaican descent.

This, just months after Yeezus began merchandising Confederate flag clothing on his tour.
