Afrobeats superstar Davido came into this world with international appeal. From Nas and Lil Baby to Chris Brown and Summer Walker, Davido has many international hits under his belt, all of which have helped him spread African music to millions of fans around the globe.

This year, the singer-songwriter is nominated in several categories at the 55th Annual NAACP Image Awards, including “Outstanding Male Artist” and “Outstanding International Song.” Check out seven memorable collaborations that prove why he’s a worldwide success.

  • “Blow My Mind” feat. Chris Brown

For the lead single of his 2019 “A Good Time” album, Davido tapped Chris Brown to bring their sexy Afrobeats jam “Blow My Mind” to life. The pair shot a video for the match-up, one of a few they have together, which sits at over 94 million views on YouTube.

  • “D & G” feat. Summer Walker

Davido and Summer Walker matched vocal wits on their smooth collaboration “D & G,” also featured on the former’s “A Good Time” album. The London On Da Track and Kiddominant-produced song perfectly fuses R&B and Nigerian pop elements.

  • “Holy Ground” feat. Nicki Minaj

For his heartfelt song “Holy Ground,” off his 2020 album “A Better Time,” Davido enlisted the help of Nicki Minaj, with the two exchanging lyrics about the spiritual safety of their respective lovers. According to the Afrobeats star, the collaboration stemmed from a drunk DM he sent to Minaj at a party.
