Lil Boosie Announces Tour Dates
Lil Boosie's "takeover" is in full effect. Beginning this week, Boosie is officially hitting the road for his first tour since being released from prison in March. According to the list revealed on Miss Info Tuesday (May 13), Boosie begins two months of live shows this Friday (May 16), in Greenville, S.C.
Other stops on the 28-day jaunt include Richmond, Va., Tampa, Fla., Savannah, Ga., Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and Houston's Reliant Arena, where the tour will conclude Aug. 2.
Prior to his prison bid, Boosie made his living off the road. "Before I was in jail, I was doing maybe five shows a week,” the rapper recalled in an interview with Vlad TV. "I was doing probably five shows a week, and this was for years straight. Even if I ain't drop an album for maybe two years, I was putting out a mixtape every two months, and that carried me."
Boosie vows to get that momentum going again. "I never needed help with booking a concert," he said. "My phone ain't gon' never stop ringing when it comes to concerts 'cause people wanna see me. You got some artists, people love their music, but they don't care to see them perform. People love to see Boosie perform ... I'm grateful for that."
Boosie's upcoming string of live shows are to promote a pair of albums he will release in 2014. The first of the two will be Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, due out July 15.
