Chris Brown’s Attorney Speaks Up, Says His Accuser Is Hungry for Fame
This week hasn’t been too fun for Chris Brown.
The R&B singer was arrested and released on bail after a very public and all-day standoff outside of his home in Los Angeles. A woman, Baylee Curran, came forward claiming that Breezy allegedly threatened her with a gun while she was at his estate.
The singer has denied any wrongdoing in the matter and now his attorney is saying that his accuser simply is looking for her 15 minutes of fame.
As reported, LAPD found no guns or drugs in his home after searching it on Tuesday (August 30) and some interesting details about Curran have surfaced, such as her being wanted for theft from a 2013 incident where she allegedly swiped a $1,000 Louis Vuitton purse from a hotel.
Text messages from Curran have also been included in the investigation, where she reportedly typed that she was looking to set up Breezy. Regardless, his attorney, Mark Geragos, came forward today with a new statement claiming that he feels the accuser has a personal motive in all of this, and that's to become famous.
Brown’s attorney said in his statement that if the text messages prove to be valid and if all of this was a set-up, they’ll be pursuing a criminal investigation against her.
Interesting times ahead.
