Dee-1, Ransom to Headline October Music Matters Showcase
Now that pumpkin spice lattes are back in coffee shops across the country, it’s officially fall and BET Music Matters is celebrating with a lineup of gifted MCs for our Oct. 14 showcase in NYC.
Headlining this time around will be New Orleans’s own Dee-1, who will bless the stage at S.O.B.'s with some of that Southern hospitality.
Dee has toured with some of hip hop’s most venerable live acts including Lecrae, Killer Mike and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and now he looks to show the Music Matters audience what Louisiana is all about.
Joining the “It’s My Turn” MC that night will be lyrical phenom Ransom, who is known by many for his skills in the battle rap field (and his earlier beef with Joe Budden). The Jersey City Spitter will make sure everybody in the building is turnt all the way up with his signature high energy live show.
Also performing that night will be JJ Thames, Abir and Topaz. Kicking things off as always will be Max October and DJ Lyve behind the tables and of course host Buttahman will be in the building.
Doors open at 8 p.m. for the show, which is 21 and over and early arrival is recommended as space is limited.
