‘Tyler Perry’s Sistas’ Recap: Gary Continues His Reign of Awful

The villainous lover boy may finally be in over his head, and hopefully, karma isn’t far behind.

Last week’s episode of Tyler Perry’s Sistas ended on a scandalous note, courtesy of Satan, um, Gary. Remember? Penny walked in on him in Andi’s closet, getting himself off over her dirty panties. Hopefully, this is the last straw, but probably not. Anyway, Penny rightfully goes off on Gary, and she makes a great point: this is giving obsession with Andi. However, instead of making a scene, Penny keeps it cute and tells Andi and Jordan that she’s not feeling well and wants to leave. Penny is better than most because Gary should have been put on blast again.

It gets worse when Penny and Gary get in the elevator. Penny tells him about himself, and he tells her to shut the f up. Then he says it was her fault that he did that because she hasn’t been having sex with him. This is obviously emotional abuse and it sucks because Penny is pregnant and shouldn’t be dealing with this type of stress. It’s past time for Gary to get jumped or something.

Gary stays the night at Hayden’s place and gets another dastardly idea — to ruin Jordan’s run for city council. Hayden isn’t that evil and says he isn’t down to ruin anyone unless they do something to him first. But the drama is brewing.

In other news, Danni, Andi, Sabrina, and Fatima are linking up for brunch. Karen was invited, but there was a moment when she walked in, saw her girls sitting with Fatima, changed her mind and left.

That was probably best because Fatima told the girls that she didn’t trust Karen’s DNA results and wanted a test when the baby arrived. But better news: the girls finally convince Danni to go to therapy. That’s mainly because Fatima said she would hook Danni up with a sista who does amazing work and feels like a long-time friend. That is so necessary.

Let’s fast forward. The episode winds down at Gary’s office. One of his cronies tells him that the feds are about to swoop down on them because they’ve been running a Ponzi scheme and they’re busted.

But didn’t Gary already have drama with the feds in season one? Either way, it’s about time, and hopefully, this is the thing that gets him outta there for good.
