Fans Pay Tribute To TakeOff With Speciality Art Pieces, Ahead Of Funeral
A homegoing service for Migos rapper TakeOff will take place today (Nov. 11) at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The 28-year-old tragically passed away on Nov.1 after he was shot and killed at a private party in Houston.
The Celebration of Life for TakeOff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball, will begin at noon ET and is open to the public, although tickets are officially sold out.
According to the artist's memorial page, “no gifts or items will be permitted at or near the venue.” Instead, the TakeOff’s family has requested that fans donate to the Rocket Foundation in his honor. The organization supports programs against gun violence.
TMZ reports that Grammy award-winning singers Alicia Keys and Justin Bieber are reportedly set to perform at the memorial service.
Ahead of the service, several fans of the Atlanta-bred rapper have paid tribute to him through their art, from murals to paintings and specialty graphics.
