Migos Teases Back to the Bando Project
Ready for more Migos?
The Atlanta rap trio revealed the title and cover art, presumably for their new album, via Twitter yesterday. The forthcoming project, Back to the Bando, will be their latest since Yung Rich Nation debuted to solid reviews, but not-so-stellar sales.
YRN was delayed before it officially dropped in late July, despite the incarceration of Migos member Offset, who has been locked up since the group was arrested five months ago.
Quavo and Takeoff addressed Offset’s legal issues during a Paper Magazine interview, and explained releasing music without him. “If you're up on your Migos history, you know that he was on our first mixtape,” said Quavo. “Then once we blew up, he got locked up. So we had to do the same run once again when we had ‘Versace’… And then I mean, we all got in trouble this second time, so it's not like it was his fault, it's just unfortunately his record put him [in jail]."
In his absence, Takeoff and Quavo have been calling on audiences to spit his verses. They also keep in touch with Offset frequently. “We talk to him like a regular conversation,” said Takeoff. “We were on the phone laughin.' He's good. We keep him updated on everything.”
