Fetty Wap Was Arrested After Drag Racing Another Driver While Intoxicated
Fans hoped Fetty Wap was somewhere locked away making new music, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case. Instead, the New Jersey rapper is being held in a New York City jail cell. Fetty was reportedly arrested on Friday (Nov. 3) for drag racing his 2015 Mercedes on an expressway while intoxicated, TMZ reports.
Fetty was reportedly caught behind the wheel around 1 a.m. driving approximately 100 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone, authorities reported. He was reportedly racing another driver, although it’s unclear if that person was arrested as well. After being pulled over, an officer requested that he take a sobriety test, which he subsequently failed. He reportedly blew a .09, which is just above the legal limit, according to TMZ. He was also carrying an expired license.
Fetty was reportedly arrested on 15 charges, including reckless endangerment, drag racing, DUI, driving with an invalid license, unsafe lane changing, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding, police documents confirm.
Prior to his arrest, Fetty Wap released his For My Fans 2 mixtape in Oct. 2017. Fetty is still currently in jail, but should be released on bail soon.
