White House Unveils Michelle Obama's Official Portrait

The White House has unveiled Michelle Obama's official portrait for 2013.

First Lady Michelle Obama's official photo for President Obama's second term features her new look and now-famous bangs. The photo, unveiled today, was taken by Chuck Kennedy in the White House Green Room.

Earlier in the week, the first lady attributed her much-discussed bangs to a mid-life crisis.

"I couldn't get a sports car," she joked in a Skype interview with TV chef Rachael Ray that will air today. "They won’t let me bungee-jump. So instead, I cut my bangs."

The portrait is less formal than the one taken in 2009 and reveals a more relaxed and confident first lady.
