Jay Z Will Perform a Free Concert Featuring Rare Songs and B-Sides
Jay Z is pulling out all the stops for his music-streaming service, Tidal.
Earlier this morning, Hov announced his plans to perform old songs and b-sides in a free New York concert titled Tidal X: Jay Z B-Sides. The concert will be on May 13 and held at an intimate space somewhere in the city. In order to attend, new users must subscribe to the service and submit a playlist of their favorite songs to win tickets. It will be live-streamed on Tidal.com as well.
Just a few days prior, Hov defended Tidal through a series of tweets that reassured fans of its progress. This latest promotion is a way for fans to get excited about Tidal again. However, we’re still waiting for his rumored Beyoncé collaborative album.
Jay Z, who co-owns the service with artists like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Madonna, Kanye West and J. Cole, stands by the fact that Tidal is the future of streaming music. So far, he’s keeping his word.
