Boosie Badazz’s Daughter Confronts Him Over Ongoing Criticism of Her Sexuality

Poison Ivi shared her thoughts in an emotional, nearly 15-minute video on Instagram.

Boosie Badazz’s daughter, Poison Ivi, recently expressed her frustration over her father’s constant remarks about her sexuality.

This past Friday (Sept. 27), the upcoming rapper shared her thoughts in an emotional, nearly 15-minute video on Instagram. In the heartfelt clip, Poison Ivi addressed her father directly, opening up about the impact his public comments have had on her personal life, and the challenges she faces as she navigates her own identity.

“I’m completely fed up with holding my tongue #imhumantoo NEW TAPE IN OCT [100 emoji],” she captioned the post. “smh papasmurf u can feel how u feel everybody is entitled to they own opinion but every chance u get you will not just bash me it’s not about u accepting it because I don’t need u to IM GROWN !! it can be you simply don’t like it and move on … you always rude [100 emoji] love you always !!”

The video began with, “Man, I really don’t even know where to start for real, because this ain’t really my character. I don’t really be getting on here and giving y’all what y’all want. But I feel like my daddy want me to give y’all what y’all want, and he want me to give him what he want as well.”

Poison Ivi revealed that she decided to address her father’s homophobic views following his recent appearance on Yung Miami’s “Caresha, Please” podcast. During the live taping at REVOLT WORLD last week, Boosie implied that his daughter was "contaminating" her siblings. In the clip, Poison Ivi opened up about her deep connection with her siblings and the respect she still holds for her father, despite his hurtful public and private comments.

“If the world really knew all the things and the hurtful things you told me before and I forgave, you wouldn’t even understand,” she said. “And no matter how you feel? At the end of the day, n-gga I’m yo blood. I am your daughter. And me, I feel like I done been through the most with you. And every time, I turn around, it’s like you bashin’ me. And it’s like, the whole world can go against you, but as a woman, since I been a lil girl, I never would go against you. And I think, I’m really fed up.”

She continued, “He ain’t never not had one sit down with me, myself just him and Iviona and asked me why you became that way, Fat? What triggered you?’ It never been that. Every question y’all askin’ him, and he givin’ them answers? If I go ask him that, he wouldn’t give me an answer. The things that he do bruh, I woulda never thought he would do.”

The 22-year-old added, “Like, I would respect if you just say, just one time just say, ‘My daughter know how I feel about that, can we move on to the next question?’ I can never get that from you. If y’all go look at my interviews, y’all would see: anytime they try to make it seem like my daddy don’t fuck with me or he this and that, I say, ‘He love me regardless. This my pops. I ain’t goin’ against him. Y’all ain’t gon turn me against him,’ I always stood on that. And it’s like I feel like you just don’t be carin’. You don’t care about my feelings no more.”

During an interview last year, Boosie discussed his family's struggle to accept his daughter’s sexuality after she came out as a lesbian. He attributed their challenges to their religious beliefs but emphasized that, despite their difficulties, the family continues to love her unconditionally.
