Wow: This Video Of A Teenage Tiffany Haddish Performing Stand-Up Proves She Was Destined To Be A Star
While it may seem as Tiffany Haddish's rise to stardom came overnight, that couldn't be further from the truth as the comedian has well-documented proof of her early start.
In fact, the Laugh Factory recently posted a throwback video of the Girls Trip star in her teenage years, and it's pretty telling that she was well on her way to becoming a force in comedy.
In the vintage clip, Haddish recalled initially getting involved in comedy through her social worker's encouragement while in foster care.
"I started doing stand-up comedy when I was 16," she said in the video. "And my social worker was saying, you know, 'What do you want to do with yourself, Tiffany?' And I was saying I want to be on stage, you know? She said, 'No, we're going to get you on stage, alright? You're going to go to the Laugh Factory be in a comedy camp.'"

This proves to be another testament of the Laugh Factory's mission as they aim to help at risk and underprivileged youth take out their feelings on stage, using comedy as a tool to build confidence and hope.
