Ty Dolla $ign is no longer partying in cabanas with hot girls.

The Los Angeles native has been shifting the style of his visuals lately. Maybe it’s because he knows that summer is over and everyone is about to be indoors to get away from the terrible weather that’s coming. Or maybe he doesn't want to be viewed as the stoner-friendly R&B singer anymore. Whatever the case may be, this video is kind of eerie.

Ty and Fetty Wap are in an abandoned house surrounded by pretty ladies, but they have serious looks on their faces. While the lyrics to “When I See Ya” are about chasing a girl and eventually getting intimate with her, there are tons of isolated shots with red shadows that hints it’s a bit deeper than that. Ty’s video for “Paranoid” and “Or Nah” both had a feeling of sadness in a bright world, so this could be a recurring theme on his forthcoming album, Free TC, releasing on Nov. 13.
