Yet Another Reason Lil Wayne Has Beef With Cash Money

This is getting way beyond repair.

It’s becoming more and more understandable why Lil Wayne has been angry with Birdman and Cash Money over the past two years. He’s had little control over his own creative process for a while now and apparently hasn’t been paid what he’s owed.

On top of that, it seems like he’s been treated less favorably than others on the label and taken out of all decisions regarding who is and isn’t signed to YMCMB. After it was announced that Tyga was one of G.O.O.D. Music’s latest signed artists, Weezy was reportedly angered because he wasn’t the one to let him go.

According to TMZ, Wayne, who owns a 49 percent stake in Young Money, did not sign off on Tyga’s release. A source close to Wayne says that he feels like his signature should’ve been necessary to let the Kardashian mate out of his deal, and if it were up to him, he’d still be signed to YM.

This is semi-surprising considering Wayne himself is trying to get out of his deal with the label he previously pledged allegiance to. He sued Birdman earlier this year for $51 million in unpaid royalties and back payments for other expenses.

Lil Wayne has also recently asked that Birdman provide $70 million in receipts for money he was supposedly supposed to share with him. Wayne says Universal Music Group advanced Birdman $100 million for a distribution deal, but not nearly half of that money hit Weezy’s bank account.

This is truly a mess. Check out TMZ’s full report here.
