Georgia Police Warn Public Of ‘Violent’ Escaped Prisoners On The Loose
Manhunts continued on Sunday (Nov. 14) in Georgia for four of the five inmates who were still on the run after escaping two days earlier from the Pulaski County Law Enforcement Center.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced Sunday night that one of the escapees, Tyree Williams, was captured and in custody in Warner Robins, Ga.
Officials identified the four inmates who were still on the loose as Dennis Penix Jr., Brandon Pooler, Tyres Jackson and Lewis Evans III.
On Nov. 13, the law enforcement agency issued a blue alert after the five men escaped from jail.
“All with violent history & 2 are murder suspects,” the statement warned.
Investigators said they stole a white 2015 Kia Sedona van. “Do not approach” the suspects, the alert warned, as the men are considered dangerous.
Williams was incarcerated while facing charges of felony murder and home invasion after a shooting incident in July 2020, WSB reported. Penix allegedly killed two men in a drug deal. Pooler was held on child cruelty charges, and Jackson was accused of multiple car break-ins. The fifth suspect, Evans, allegedly obstructed an officer. They are believed to have at least two stun guns.
“The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $5000.00 for information leading to the direct arrest of any of the wanted escapees,” the GBI stated in the post.
