Here's What Happens When a Restaurant Worker Plays NWA's 'F**k Tha Police' While Cops Are Eating
N.W.A.'s classic record, "F**k Tha Police," is just as controversial and as awesome in 2016 as it was in 1988 when it was released.
Most recently, a dishwasher found himself without a job for indulging in the guilty pleasure anthem while officers dined in the same establishment he was working in.
According to the report, Deputy Shane Cates detailed what happened in a now-deleted Facebook post.
"I was completely shocked and thought surely no one was doing that as a dig on cops," Cates explained. "The guy washing dishes was singing the song and pointing out towards the eating area. He turned and noticed me standing there and started laughing."
According to Cates's recollection of the event, he returned to the restaurant to talk with the manager at the Houston location of the restaurant chain Goings BBQ & Steak Co., and the manager wasn't apologetic.
Rico Berto Ruiz, the co-owner of the establishment, confirmed that the incident did occur, and that the dishwasher was fired.
Seems a little unreasonably dramatic, no?
The restaurant issued a statement apologizing for the incident, promising that they will be offering police officers free meals sometime in the future.
We wonder what Ice Cube would have to say about this...
