‘He’s A Monster’: R. Kelly’s Ex-Wife Shares Shocking Details About How He Abused Her
In the midst of R. Kelly's sexual abuse accusers sharing their accounts, the R&B singer's ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, is slowly coming forward with her own experiences of domestic violence by the hands of the star.
Most recently, in a televised interview, she shared the brutal details of what he allegedly did to her, ultimately declaring, "He's definitely a monster."
Speaking with Inside Edition, Andrea revealed that the home they shared became so confined that she could only best describe it as a prison.
"I often say I spent 10 years being married, but I don't know what it's like to be a wife," she said. "What was supposed to be my big beautiful mansion ultimately became my prison."
After explaining that the several women who have bravely come forward accusing R. Kelly of abuse have inspired her to share her truth, she went a bit more in detail of the restrictions the singer put on her life.
She claimed that she was prohibited from leaving their Chicago home without his permission and was forced to call him, "Daddy," which echoed the statements made by Kitty Jones and Asante McGhee, in the recent past.
Andrea even recalled an instance where he physically restrained her, against her will, saying, "I was tied up and left on the side of the bed, and he went to sleep."
