Living In The Spotlight Featuring dvsn
Get To Know: dvsn
dvsn is a Canadian-based R&B duo that is composed of Daniel Daley and Paul Jefferies.
Jefferies is a Toronto-born artist who has been into music since his early days, when he listened to everything from Biggie to gospel. At a young age he knew he was destined to be a star, and began his journey by buying a guitar and teaching himself how to play. After working with not-so-great bands throughout his youth, he finally fell into writing and recording, and without even realizing it he came into his own as a producer.
The other half of dvsn is even more low-key, but many think it is: Daniel Daley, a Canadian singer with no social media presence that we know of and barely any images/videos searchable to the interwebs. All that's left of him that can be found online are music features.
Making It To the Spotlight
dvsn came into the spotlight rather quietly, with the help of OVO. Nineteen85 (half of the dvsn duo) worked as a producer for OVO Sounds, with his unique musical style that pays beautiful homage to 90s R&B feels with layers of sensual melodies, electrifying synths and vocals that are reminiscent of R&B's finest.
Nineteen85 is known for Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home," "Too Much," and "Hotline Bling," as well as Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Wayne's "Truffle Butter." With his notable musical work spanning from projects with R. Kelly to Jennifer Hudson, it was time for Nineteen to make something for himself with the help of bandmate Daniel Daley -- and that's how dvsn took form.
The group has released singles "Too Deep," "The Line" and "With Me," some of the group's best work yet!
Debut Single
dvsn released two songs titled "The Line" and "With Me" and it began to receive buzz when it was featured on Apple's Beats 1 radio during OVO Sound's seventh radio show. dvsn's music is primarily available on SoundCloud and the iTunes.

Coolest Connection
OVO's Drizzy is who the group is most closely associated with, because of Nineteen85's OVO Sound affiliation and work on Drake's singles "Hold On, We're Going Home," "Too Much," and "Hotline Bling."
Best Collaboration
"Faithful" by Drake featuring Pimp C and dvsn was the group's biggest collab thus far. The record was produced by OVO's Noah “40” Shebib and featured on the Views album.
Exclusive Info
It's not fully confirmed that Daniel Daley is actually the second member of dvsn, but many sources have noted that he's likely to be in association with dvsn. Guess we'll find out Sunday, Nov. 26 8P/7C during Soul Train Awards!
