Breaking: Judge Officially Sentences Bill Cosby After Calling Him A ‘Sexually Violent Predator’
Bill Cosby was sentenced on Tuesday to three to 10 years in state prison by a Pennsylvania judge for sexually assaulting a woman at his home back in 2004.
According to CNN, Montgomery County Judge Steven T. O'Neill appointed the sentence after the fallen comedian was formerly dubbed an elderly man deserving of house arrest and a serial predator who deserved five to 10 years in prison.
Prior to the sentencing, O'Neill officially declared Cosby a "sexually violent predator," making the disgraced entertainer subject to reporting requirements for the rest of his life. This ultimately means he will be forced to advise law enforcement authorities of where he is living.
Judge O'Neill has also denied Cosby bail.
If the comic serves the full term, he will be 91 years old upon his release.
"I'm not permitted to treat him any differently based on who he is or who he was," Judge O'Neill said upon imposing the sentence. "As she [Constand] said, Mr. Cosby, you took her beautiful, healthy, young spirit and crushed it."
"I heard the very clear impact on your life," the judge told Constand.
