Lizzo just released her latest music video for her new song “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)”, which she co-directed with Christian Breslauer, and it is giving us all the feels! In case you missed it, the Grammy award-winning singer unveiled her second studio album Special with 12 special tracks and no features and it’s currently climbing the charts.

Yup! You read that right, Beckford who looks ageless in the video makes a cameo appearance in the visual as Lizzo stars as a runaway bride and later locks lips with him giving him a smooch!
Lizzo Puts Herself First
While the song starts with the 34-year-old at her own wedding contemplating if she is really ready to say “I Do!,” recreating the scene from her “Truth Hurts,” video, but ultimately to the crowd's surprise, Lizzo walks out the ceremony and ditches the idea of getting married altogether.
Soon after, she meets Beckford in a desert after he pulls up on a motorcycle, the pair share an intimate moment as she caresses her skin preparing for a kiss but the passionate moment is just a dream and her decision to say “I Don’t!” is still memorable.
And celebrating your freedom and singleness is just as great!
The Lyrics Are EVERYTHING
“Am I ready? (You deserve it now)/’Cause I want it (that’s what I’m talkin’ about),” she sings in the chorus as she leaves the wedding. “Am I ready? (You gon’ figure it out)/To be loved, to be loved.”
The powerful anthem is a reminder that it is okay to second guess your next major life decisions if you’re not ready yet.
“How am I supposed to love somebody else? When I don’t like myself,” Lizzo continues to sing, seemingly referencing RuPaul’s famous catchphrase.
