Estelle Opens Up About Dating and Combing Instagram for Red Flags
We love how upfront Estelle is when it comes to her life. In a recent interview with Essence.com, the singer was straight up about her relationship status as a single girl and what she's been enjoying about the dating scene.
"It's a new thing for me," she says about being single. "I'm a relationship girl. The positives are that you get to date and you get to be taken out places. That's awesome."
The 33-year-old said she's finally over a long-term relationship that lasted two years and no longer feels a tinge in her chest when his name is mentioned. Now that she's a free agent, Estelle said she's enjoying the confidence boost that comes with having multiple men wanting to date her.
"It's a fantastic ego boost on days when you wake up and your hair is disheveled."
Want to have a chance with the British beauty? Then bring your A-game, some "views on the world, the news and current events" and don't talk about yourself the entire night. And make sure your social media record is clean.
"I check to see if his past relationships have been published on Instagram or on Twitter, and if they have, no ma'am — I'm good on that!" Estelle said. "It's kind of a precursor to what your life is going to look like together. I feel like Instagram and Twitter are your virtual life. On Instagram, you're the person you think you are. For a regular guy I look at his feed and I'm always like, 'OK, you believe you're that person.' If he takes multiple selfies, I'm good. What are you doing with your life? Again, it shows me you're self-obsessed. If you say you're a lady, you aren't. If you have to say you're cute, you're not."
