OutKast’s André 3000 And Big Boi Team Up With Meals On Wheels Atlanta
Outkast is sharing two of their favorite holiday recipes to help Meals on Wheels Atlanta.
André 3000 and Big Boi shared dessert recipes sure to please anyone with a sweet tooth during the holiday season, Atlanta’s WSBTV-2 reports. André 3000 shared his “Quick Lil’ Apple” four-ingredient recipe that only requires apple sauce, a can of biscuits, butter and a dash of salt.
Posting the quick and easy recipe on his Instagram, the artist said that celebrating the holiday season this year won’t be the same.
“The holidays are different this year because we can’t hang with our friends & families like we would normally,” he wrote. “But for many of our elders, they may be lonely or food insecure now and much of the year. I am happy to be part of the #PassItDown campaign with @mealsonwheelsatlanta because they are doing really amazing things.”
When it came to Big Boi, he shared his mother’s banana cream pie recipe, that comes straight from the heart.
“My mama makes the best banana cream pie. It’s a family tradition,” he wrote on Instagram. “This holiday season, respect your elders and support Meals on Wheels Atlanta.”
The rap duo is encouraging communities to try and help those in need this season during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. “You can donate, adopt a senior, give of yourself, and offer love to a senior who may need you this season. Food is love,” André 3000 said.
