Try Not To Shed A Tear At This Video Of Meek Mill's 7-Year-Old Son Speaking On His Prison Release
The world is still screaming, marching and hashtagging “Free Meek Mill” five months after the MMG rap star was heavy-handedly sentenced to two-to-four years behind bars on a probation violation.
But no one’s voice is quite as loud as his 7-year-old son, Papi, who shared loving words for his dad and his ultimate wish to bring him back home.
Thousands gathered at another march calling for the immediate release of the Dreamchasers boss upon newly publicized information on the corrupt handling of his case. Meek’s fans, supporters and family all came out to voice their demands, including his mother, Kathy Williams, and young Papi.
In a video of his impromptu interview at the rally, Papi holds up a sketch of his father that reads, “Free Meek Mill,” which he adorably reiterates before answering the reporter’s questions.
“I miss my dad very much,” he started. “He picks me up from school sometimes, we do fun things…”
Papi made sure to thank all of his dad’s fans and supporters who attended the rally as well, adding, “I love my dad very much.”
Thankfully, the 7-year-old has his grandmother, Meek’s mom, Kathy, for familial support as well. She also shared her thoughts on her son’s prison release before Papi hopped on the camera, expressing that she’s “optimistic that things have changed and turned around.” Kathy was in good spirits at the rally as well, which is always a good sign.
