Mase Says Gang “Haunted” Him Following Notorious B.I.G.’s Death

The Harlem rapper noted how he was “trapped” in a hotel room at the time.

Mase recently revealed how he feared for his life following the death of his former labelmate, The Notorious B.I.G.

During a new episode of his and Cam’ron’s show, It Is What It Is, a fan asked what the Harlem rapper did following Biggie’s passing. He says he remembered being abandoned in Los Angeles and asserted he was “trapped” in a hotel room as “70 Bloods” walked the hallways.

“I was in a hotel. I was actually in a hotel with a young lady,” he explained. “I was trapped in the hotel. It was about, probably like, 70 or so Bloods in the hallway. I couldn’t even leave my room. After B.I.G. got killed, they were probably looking for more Bad Boy artists. And I couldn’t even leave the room ’til [Diddy’s former bodyguard] Gene Deal had to come get me.”

“Damn, that’s f****d up,” Cam replied. “Sorry.”

Additionally, Mase described the moment he wanted to get “outta here.”

“I was left in LA, and from that day, I always said, ‘I’m outta here,’ he said. “I was left! I came there with people; I ain’t leave with those people. You know how it goes. ‘Find your way home.’ [So] to my recollection, I think we had to go to Vegas or something like that to get back to New York.”

Last week, Mase spoke about Tupac Shakur’s alleged killer, saying the name Keefe D “sounds familiar” after he was arrested in connection with the West Coast rap legend’s death.
