Manny Pacquiao Says He Finally Beat Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Thanks to Miss Universe.

Manny Pacquiao might have taken one too many punches to the head over the course of his boxing career.

The boxer told Philboxing.com that Miss Philippines being awarded the Miss Universe title — after the crown was snatched from Miss Colombia's head in Steve Harvey's mistake heard around the world — "avenges" his loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Really, Manny?

WHO FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. SHOULD FACE FOR HIS 50TH AND FINAL FIGHT

In fact, Pacquiao says that Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach told him that she would.

"Courage is grace under pressure," he said. "This is what Pia showed in the middle of the confusion and controversy that marked her coronation as the new Miss Universe."

He added: "Remember, when I lost to Floyd last May, she made a promise to all of us Filipinos that she will avenge that defeat come the Miss Universe pageant, which she just has fulfilled. I intend to use [that] as an inspiration and additional motivation for me in my next fight."

How in the world does Miss Philippines winning Miss Universe avenge your loss to Mayweather, though?
