Maia Campbell Plots Comeback with New Music

Maia Campbell looks to get back on the right track with new single "Make Em Say."

Actress Maia Campbell has had a rough couple of years since her days of playing Tiffany Warren on LL Cool J's late '90s sitcom In The House. After a video of her appearing unkempt and acting erratically circulated the Internet in 2009, Campbell revealed that in addition to a drug problem, she was also suffering from bipolar disorder.

In a recent interview with Get Noticed Media, the former child star and daughter of the late, notable author BeBe Moore Campbell now shares that she's got her life back on track and is ready to work again.

"I know the last time everyone saw me, I was way out there on the other stretch of the road," said Maia. "I got myself together, I've been sober for two years and I've been stable and very [aware] of how this industry works. I've been in this industry since I was a little girl so I'm a professional. I am very able to jump back into these waters and swim deep and get it in. So let's get it poppin'."

To spark her comeback, Campbell, who also dabbles in music, released new single "Make Em Say," which is available on iTunes. However, she does want to stick to acting as well. She hopes to pursue an idea of working with Tyler Perry on a film based on her mother's book 72 Hour Hold. Campbell also plans to write a book called Sagittarius about her tumultuous life.
