Back in October of 2017, Anok Yai was just a college student studying biochemistry at Plymouth State University. With homecoming season underway for most colleges, the Sudanese beauty attended Howard University’s annual lit AF homecoming to engage in the festivities. While there, Anok struck a pose on “the yard” for the sunk, a notable photographer.  From there, Anok’s photo went viral with the internet going ham and campaigning for the 19-year-old to land a modeling contract. 

Fast forward four months later to February 2018, and this chocolate beauty is slaying a luxury runway show all the way in Milan. Won’t he do it! 

Strutting the runway in one of the major fashion cities, Anok slayed as she opened Prada’s Fall/Winter 2018 show. And for those of you who aren’t aware, opening and closing a show is a BIG deal. She rocked a slick back hairdo and an all-black look courtesy of the brand. And even though she wore all black, that melanin glow lit, tho… had the runway radiant.

Moral of the story, the internet is out here changing lives, giving chances and creating magic. Can’t wait to see what’s next for Anok!
